Painting of cable stays
Safely overcoming access and containment challenges

Following the successful trialling of our custom-designed suspended mobile containment unit, SG were delighted to be awarded the contract for painting of all 64 cable stays of the Kessock Bridge, Inverness.

Type: Rope Access
DURATION: 12 WEEKS
TEAM: 4 PEOPLE
WORK SCOPE

A hugely challenging project, both from an access and a containment perspective, SG were proud to be trusted with the hand painting of the cable stays of the Kessock Bridge. A custom designed and fabricated suspended mobile containment unit, complex rigging including winch based haul systems, and considerable human effort on the part of the SG rope access painting team, saw this project completed safely and successfully over a 12 week period, during which time the bridge remained open and operational.
