Slope Stabilisation & Geotechnical Works following Landslip
Success in competitive tender saw SG awarded the geotechnical contract for slope stabilisation, drainage installation, and associated fencing works following a landslip at Bayswell Bay in East Lothian.
WORK SCOPE
SG geotechnical operatives carried out slope stabilisation by reprofiling the slope in the location of the landslide by hand and installing steel-reinforced Geomat. We also removed existing damaged drainage and installed a new drainage pipe adjacent, and erected a new fence along the footpath. Due to the difficult access location and steepness of slope it was not possible to operate large plant at the work zone and successful completion of works relied on good planning and efficient manpower, with the works completed via rope access.
