SG were thrilled to be contracted to carry out the high-level cleaning & maintenance of the traditional lime-washed masonry facades and slated roof of this magnificent historic Scottish Castle, freshening up the external appearance of the castle, and carrying out necessary traditional masonry and roofing works to bring it back to its former glory.
WORK SCOPE
Soot and grime deposits had become ingrained on the once fresh limewashed facades of the castle. We chose a MEWP as the safest and most efficient mode of access for our IPAF trained traditional masonry specialists to carry out high heat low-pressure washing of the historic facades, and then perform remedial works to the lime harling and slate roof, skilfully combining our knowledge of traditional construction and modern standards and plant, to successfully complete the works safely and with sensitively to the important heritage of the structure.
