Tasked with the bridge inspection via rope access of the Connel Bridge near Oban, Scotland, the SG Access rope access bridge inspection team carried out a detailed condition survey of all steel elements of the bridge, the concrete soffit, and a full measured survey under deck to inform forthcoming works.

WORK SCOPE

The Connel Bridge is a category B listed cantilever steel bridge with a span of 160 m with a suspended central span of 71m – a complex structure, the inspection of which required the gathering and collating of vast amounts of detailed data whilst working in a challenging work environment, we are proud of our team for a job well done and providing a comprehensive report for our client.
