Will Bates: Director
Will has been IRATA qualified since 2002 and specialized in glazing, curtain walling and civil engineering related works before the incorporation of SG Access. He has been an IRATA L3 supervisor since 2009.
Will works from our High Wycombe office where he manages the day-to-day running of projects south of the border. He provides logistical and administrative support to projects nationwide, and draws on over a decade of experience in the field in his role as Health & Safety manager, creating safe systems of works for all projects. He enjoys a hands-on approach to all the work we do.

Calum MacDonald: Director
Leading the team from head office in Edinburgh, as company director and overall quality manager, Calum is heavily involved in all aspects of the smooth running of the company.
Calum from time to time pleads a place on the team for some of the more interesting projects, but in general he can be found carrying out site visits, liaising with clients, and maintaining the general workings of the company.

Alice Hamilton: Finance
As an experienced financial professional, Alice manages all matters fiscal within the company.
We are in constant awe of her knowledge, meticulous organisational skills and unrivalled attention to detail. Her up to the minute grasp of the internal cogs of the company, and her astonishing readiness to go the extra mile to look after us all, make her an integral member of our team, and an irreplaceable part of the SG family.

Paul Smith: Site Ops
IRATA L3 – SSSTS Site Supervisor – First Aid – Asbestos Aware – Confined Space – IPAF – CSCS – PPE Inspector.
Upon first working with SG Access as a subcontractor many years ago, Paul let us know that one way or another he would ensure he would become part of the permanent core team. Sure enough through his hard work, dedication, enthusiasm, and genuine belief in our core values he did just that. Prior to rope access, Paul served in the military, following which he became a coatings specialist. As an experienced IRATA L3 rope access technician he is at home in a wide variety of environments, but industrial coatings remain his speciality. A vital cog in the SG Access workings, Paul provides site supervision and operational support to our projects UK wide.

Bradley Thomas: Ops Support
IRATA L3 – SSSTS Site Supervisor – IPAF – GGR Trained – First Aid – Asbestos Aware – CSCS
Bradley has been with SG since 2014, and based in Glasgow, he now provides site supervision and operational support to our Glasgow projects and those UK wide. Prior to rope access Bradley specialised in metal roofing and cladding as a roofing foreman, and while he might now consider his main speciality to be high level curtain walling, his broad scope of experience makes him at home in most working environments. With his level head, professionalism, and keen eye for detail, Bradley brings a stable and calming influence to even the most high pressure projects, making him an exceptional IRATA Level 3 Safety Supervisor, and an integral part of our core team.

Teams and Technicians
Each and every member of our experienced teams are highly skilled, fully IRATA trained and certified, friendly and reliable. The dedicated rope access teams comprise of a selection of IRATA Level 1, 2 and 3 operators, and SG have a broad range of technicians with specific certified skill sets such as CompEx Electrics, Welding & Fabrication, Rigging & Lifting, Glazing, Fall Protection, or Confined Space entry & rescue, amongst many others.
The right personnel with the correct skills and certification are selected for each job, allowing us to field the best possible teams to any given scenario.
